Our lettuce and herbs are the freshest you can serve in your home. Why?
Because they are still alive when they leave our market.
HOW TO SERVE OUR PRODUCE
Our lettuces are sold with the roots still attached to the living head, which means you have the freshest produce possible. Leave the roots intact and tear or cut off only what you intend to use at any given time. Store in a sealed bag or plastic container in the refrigerator. Your lettuce can last up to several weeks this way.
Romaine: Our favorite way to eat this is topped with apples, pears, dried cranberries, Feta cheese, walnuts, and a Balsamic or Raspberry Vinaigrette dressing. Also good with strawberries or mandarin oranges.
Baby Bok Choy: We love this stir-fried with some soy sauce and fresh ginger... pick up some recipes next time you're at our market. Goes great with mushrooms and pork tenderloin and rice.
Tomato Butter: Use this in your next meatloaf to replace the ketchup and brown sugar or whatever other sweet tomato combination you may currently be using. Yum!
